History
Pride Entrepreneur Education Program (PEEP) was founded in 2007 by Dee Dixon, owner of Pride Communications. Ms. Dixon is a dedicated advocate for African Americans in Charlotte and was recognized in 2003 as the Goody’s Powder Community Leader of the Year and was named the 2006 Charlotte Business Woman of the Year.
Ms. Dixon knows the achievement gap will not remedy itself; consequently PEEP has been created to give Charlotte’s African American youth a brighter future. PEEP is dedicated to reaching young people with programs and activities that highlight education and entrepreneurship as ways to provide for themselves, their families and their communities. Since its inception, PEEP has reached hundreds of local youth and awarded $60,000 in scholarships.
